Have you ever had one of those times when you were feeling shaky – or panicky – and someone told you to take some deep breaths? Yeah, me, too! While it might have helped a little, it turns out that it is not exactly the right idea for someone with a Panic Disorder. They do good research in this area at SMU – a news story a few years ago led me to call one of the researchers down there – and they generously helped me to understand how some of their ideas could be used in helping someone with a Blood/Needle Phobia client at the time.
