A paper presented recently to the Western Psychological Association meeting in Los Angeles suggests that 25% of your personal sense of happiness is mediated by your ability to manage stress. That’s a lot!
So, where to start? Yoga, meditation, hire a personal guru? Change jobs, perhaps? While each of these ideas might have personal merit, the presenter’s findings suggest we start in a more mundane direction: personal planning. Working toward meaningful goals, anticipating the resources you’ll need, and the obstacles you might encounter.
